Call of Cthulhu campaign – Mysteries of the Miskatonic Valley

“When a traveler in north central Massachusetts takes the wrong fork at the junction of the Aylesbury pike just beyond Deans Corners he comes upon a lonely and curious country.” The Dunwich Horror by H. P. Lovecraft, 1929.

This Cthulhu campaign is based in the classic 1920s (United States) setting and will focus initially on events and incidents in the Miskatonic Valley described in H. P. Lovecraft’s stories. Characters will preferably be attending, working for or otherwise connected to the Miskatonic University of Arkham.

Players of all levels of experience are welcome to join.Wed 7th February “Session 0 – Introduction”

At the first session – often referred to as a “Session Zero” – we will create characters for the campaign (referred to as Investigators) including appropriate background information. We will discuss aspects of the setting to assist players with understanding the world in which their Investigators live and cover any questions regarding this and gameplay. Playing sessions will then occur 1-2 times per month depending on Keeper and player availability.All resources – dice, character sheets, pencils and paper etc – will be provided though players are, of course, welcome to bring their own.
